Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an action-adventure game that hit the market on April 28, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Serving as a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), the game has received mostly positive reviews. It retains many of the gameplay mechanics from its predecessor and introduces several new elements.

The game also features a new Kylo Ren-style crossguard lightsaber stance that requires more confidence and a blaster stance that allows players to use a lightsaber and blaster combo for close and ranged attacks.
The addition of these stances adds a new layer of depth to the game, as players must choose the best weapon of choice for specific types of enemies. Another new feature is the Force stasis ability, which lets players freeze enemies and blaster bolts in mid-air, similar to the power used by Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay
Five years after Cal Kestis destroyed the Jedi Holocron, he parted ways with his companions and joined Saw Gerrera's resistance against the Empire. Cal's latest mission is to steal valuable military data from Senator Sejan on the planet Coruscant. He teams up with mercenary Bode Akuna but is confronted by the Ninth Sister who kills Sejan.

The data reveals that the Empire has only become more powerful, leaving Cal disheartened. With the Stinger Mantis damaged, Cal seeks out Greez on the planet Koboh, where he discovers the Bedlam Raiders, a criminal organization led by Rayvis.
Cal fights off the Bedlam Raiders and finds a High Republic-era Jedi Order droid named Zee, who gives him a High Republic tuner device and activates the Forest Array. Cal receives Force visions of two High Republic Jedi, Dagan Gera, and Santari Khri, who discovered the mythical planet of Tanalorr. Cal frees Dagan from a bacta tank, hoping to recruit a new Jedi Knight, but discovers that Dagan has fallen to the dark side of the Force.
Cal, Bode, and Greez repair the Stinger Mantis and head for Jedha, where Cere, Merrin, and Eno Cordova are rebuilding the Jedi Archives with the help of the Hidden Path. They research Koboh and Tanalorr and discover that the Republic established a settlement and Jedi Temple on Tanalorr, which was later assaulted by the Nihil.

Bode reveals himself as an Imperial spy and kills Cordova, stealing the repaired compass. Cal gives chase but is unable to stop Bode from escaping. The Empire attacks the Archives, and Cere is killed holding off Darth Vader.
Cal uses a locator beacon to track Bode to the Nova Garon system, where they confront him at an ISB base. Bode reveals that he was a secret agent for the Jedi Order and cut a deal with the ISB to work for them in exchange for his and his daughter's safety. He lured Cal to Nova Garon to create a distraction and escapes with Kata and the compass.
